Windows 7 Beta released

The latest Windows is released on the brand new year 2009. I give a high expectation on this Windows 7. I hope this time Microsoft doesn't disappoints the users again. I am now downloading the Windows 7 Beta 64-bit. Microsoft will be give a product key of Windows 7 and it will stop working on 1 August 2009.

The minimum requirements stated in the Microsoft's website is:

• 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor

• 1 GB of system memory

• 16 GB of available disk space

• Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (to enable the Aero theme)

• DVD-R/W Drive

• Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates)

I think the requirements to run the Windows 7 smoothly are higher than those specs. If the PC or laptop that can run Windows Vista smoothly, then there is no problem to run Windows 7.

I want to test the Windows 7's multi-touch technology on my laptop as well. It looks fantastic.
