Pay PTPTN online via myPay

There is a new channel to pay your PTPTN repayment through myGov Mobile service. You can also pay it with your mobile phone.

The steps are very easy. Just click on 'Bayaran Balik Pembiayaan' and then key in your IC number. Now you can see your profile, pin no. and your course name. Click 'Bayar' and follow the steps to pay online via FPX.

Turn Off Auto-play Videos in Facebook

ETS Online Ticket Fare Increased! Introduced new MobTicket App

Starting from July 2015, every ticket you purchase from the KTMB website (E-ticket) will be charged extra RM2.00 as administrative charges (inclusive 6% GST). This additional fee also applied to the ticket purchased in the new app KTMB-MobTicket.


For example, from Ipoh to KL Sentral, the ETS ticket price for Silver class will be RM27 instead of RM25. For return ticket price, it will be RM 54 in total.

An Android app was introduced by KTMB to allow users to purchase the ticket (ETS Electric Train Service and KTM Intercity) via mobile phone. Currently this app is not available for iOS users.

First thing first, you need to have WeChat app and its account on your mobile.

Secondly, search for "digi" at the "Add Contacts" and follow.

In the digi chatroom, click on the "My Digi" at the bottom. Next, click on 'MyInternet".

There are other functions like "Account" which will direct you to its OCS, "Rewards" to check on their monthly offers.

Fraud using IPK Pulau Pinang contact number 04-2221522

Beware when this number 042221522 is calling you. The guy mention that he is an inspector from IPK Pulau Pinang. He will ask you to check this number whether it is valid, yes, this is a valid number but not from the exact IPK PP. By the way, he knew what was your name and your IC number.

The 'inspector' said that you were involved in a financial criminal, sold your bank account to others and you had received 'commission'. The 'inspector' will ask how many bank account you had and will transfer your call to another guy to help you to remove your name in the suspect list.

How to help you? He will request you to transfer your money to his superior's account and they will check where is your money come from. After 2 hours, they will 'return' your money if found nothing is suspicious. Also, they claimed that would keep your money in the "national bank safety account"/"akaun keselamatan bank negara" after you had transferred your money.

Windows 8 on HP Pavilion tx2032

My 4 years old laptop HP Pavilion tx2032 still can support to upgrade the OS to Windows 8 which launched recently.

Below are some screenshots while installing Windows 8.

'Check In' is no longer available in Nokia Maps 3.09

After upgrade the Nokia Maps to version 3.09 along with the update of Nokia Belle Refresh on my N8, 'Check In' feature is no longer available to use. It is just only available in China.

I don't why Nokia want to disable it to be use in other countries. I just seldom use it because I'm using Foursquare often to check in.

Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 and Maps 3.09 install the Check in application only in China. In the other regions Check in is not installed as part of the Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 bundle. 

If updating from Maps 3.08 to Maps 3.09, the Check in application that came with Maps 3.08 is preserved. Check in can be used normally after the update. However, if updating from Maps 3.06 to Maps 3.09, the Check in feature is not any more available after the update. Also when the phone is initially shipping with Maps 3.09, there is no Check in application.

Note that if resetting the device with the Delete data and restore command, the Check in application will be removed and cannot be restored by installing Maps Suite 2.0 and Maps 3.09.

[Nokia Belle] Positioning of Google Maps is better than Nokia Maps when Indoor

In my experience, after my N8 updated to Nokia Belle, the Nokia Maps positioning is getting worse. It is not accurate and slow to find my position when I'm indoor. I had search a way that found in internet, change the server setting to supl.google.com, but seems not working.

While I'm inside a shopping mall, the Nokia Maps's position is far away from my actual position. In the same time, I opened Google Maps, it show accurate position in a seconds.
